I know a guy doing a bare metal restoration.

We were out one day and he rationalised the cost to his wife as it being a good investment. She snapped back “its only an investment if you’ll sell it some day, but that will never happen will it”…

I felt a little embarrassed as I laughed out loud at her quick retort though I know she’s also understanding of his spend

Hahaha, yeah luckily she doesn’t mind. She knows I’m a car guy through and through. Wanting to move further out for some more space for more cars though

Anyways spent yesterday rolling around on the grass trying to find a good front guard, unfortunately the 11 I looked at all had some form of rust, which was no better than the one I already had

Ended up finding this VL door, has a dent but not the worst, not a lick of rust. Will just need the holes welded up

Floor's finished, onto body work

This side was pretty rough so he pulled the damage and smoothed it all.

Checked over it all and smooth it's smooth as egg's.

Floor pan's also all done, so literally just body work and tubs, then paint
