Hey guys. Im after either the vcm 532 or 262 for my ls3.
Im after more torque off the line and just more torque as low in the rev range as possible.
Not after a lumpy cam and want stock street manners if possible.
Which one do you guys recommend? And do i need a high stall convertor for either?
Current mods are full Difilippo system consisting of 1 3/4 headers, 200 cell cats and 2.5” catback with bimodals welded back in. Got a custom tune & vcm otr too.
Finally will either of those two cams make it smell more fumey? or make it sound louder.

The cam specs would make it much easier to answer your questions.

Intake/Exhaust duration @ 0.050 and intake/exhaust valve lift plus lobe separation all determine where it makes power/torque and how lumpy and fumy it may be.

I am seriously considering the vcm 532.
Specs: duration 215/223
Valve lift .583/.583
Lobe seperation angle 112
I know that its a mild cam and suited to a standard stall and i understand that the torque kicks in pretty low in the rev range. A bit concerned that lsa 112 means lumpy?
In terms of the specs i have no idea what they mean.
Can you provide some feedback as to whether its a smooth idle cam, lumpy cam, fumey, louder etc?

Are they the standard cam specs from factory or?

Both the cams you’ve mentioned will have a noticeable idle with an LSA of 112 unless the tuner tunes it out.

If it was my car I wouldn’t bother spending my money on the VCM532, I’d rather the VCM262.

To be truthful neither would suit me.

Whats the difference with the 262? Why go with that one?
