looks the same and i have no f**k ups with the one on my car,so is it all of them or just a few of them?
Hey man, just wondering what did you use to clean ur engine bay and do u need to cover any of the electronics?? Thanks
Hey Man, I used this dry wash stuff, or you can use polish, i just sprayed all the parts that wernt near the electronics, then spray the stuff onto a rag and just wiped over it then buffed it out. the stuff i used is from FW1... its like a spray on polish, i used it on my rims aswell, just make sure you put somthing over the brakes when you spray it on lol.
I just received the fix from VCM today for the OTR problem. I haven't fitted it yet but here is a pic of it. I have also posted this on LS1.
I got a call from Pro Auto (Our Mechanic) letting us know VCM had contacted them to let them know of the issue and they requested me take the wagon in ASAP, seems we don't have any issues but as soon as they get their lot of the above "fix" they will get me in again and fix it. Couldn't be happier with both VCM and Pro Auto, awesome communication. LOVE the noise, give it a bit and you can hear the suckling kinda sound, even after this issue I would def use VCM again.
Ok I decided to fit it tonight very simple about a 5 minute job. Filter is rock solid now. I don't think any dirt will get past the filter now. Heres a couple pics you can't really see much but it holds the filter very snug. The second pic is to show the side and top clips. I already had these fitted on mine.
had my vcm on for 2 days now and its awsome! filter deff doesnt move around and the induction noise is wayyy better, plus for a bolt on with no tune (kept maf) deff has made it more responsive
yes they do the job well.just keep an eye on the bonnet underfelt as sometimes right along the top of the otr can rub on it causing that fluffy **** to go everywhere, vcm has a under bonnet insert if thats the case, had to put one on mine
Yeah i got the xmas bundle so got the bonnet part aswell, i didnt cut it very neatly tho hahah went a bit too far on the sides but ahwell
One other thing that padding under the bonnet what does it exactly do? cus mine looks kinda dodge im thinking of just taking it all down, cheerss
Most of the time it's there to insulate I guess keep the heat directly off the bonnet??? That's what I thought? My Audi didn't have it but when it rained, my bonnet started to steam!!
I thought it to help reduse the noise coming from under the bonnet.?? and I think it helps protect the underside of the bonnet from heat coming off the engine, helps the paint last longer.
yeah thats what i though aswell, ahwell ill just leave it there then, only a little bit missing each side, shudnt hurt the paint lol
