What's the point of the hood insert anyway? The engine light will come on after fitting an OTR.

From all reports the engine light shouldn't come on when fitting an OTR which retains the MAF

I'm looking at getting a VCM MAF OTR and I had a few questions.

1. Any reputable sellers that I should buy from and what price?
2. Is the bonnet hood insert panel necessary or is it just w#nk factor
3. I will do the install myself is there any tips or tricks to install that I would need to know
4. I will also buy the side panels because I think it looks cleaner. But does that mean I need to buy the infill panel?

Also what is the induction sound like with this system? Any videos would be great.

Just to be clear again I am looking to retain the MAF for anyone who would like to dig up the MAF v MAFLESS argument.

Mate, just go straight to a Duspeed OTR, look him up on his website and have a chat to him and you will never go anywhere else.

mine was fine until i fitted the blower then because it sits higher the otr and throttle body rubs on the lining, so fitting the insert gives it more space...

My last ss 2011 model after about 2 weeks the engine light came on. Why fit an OTR and not tune it? Pointless imo.

I get the engine light only in slow moving traffic, I just clear it with dash command.

Got nothing to do with maf v mafless. I'm saying that the engine light comes on regardless of what you do. The OTR causes lean fuel mixtures.
