A seller on Ebay with a L3 dash for sale stated that you could get the LCD screens for the trip computers from VDO. Anyone managed to do this? I tried for some time and got nowhere fast. Ended up purchasing a complete cluster to get new LCD screens to fix the bleeds. It would be handy to be able to buy new ones to fix the spare trip computer I have at home.
You used to be able to but not anymore. There was a place that specialised in a few brands including VDO on Main North Road. Not sure if its still there.
theres a VDO warehouse a few factory's down from where i work so i'll pop down and have a look for ya, but im pretty sure they only do gauges there
i went to the vdo warehouse today and they said they havent sold them in a long time and they are pretty sure that if they cant get them brand new than no-one can. the reckon if the screen isnt working than they would be able to fix them but there is nothing they can do about bleeds.
*jingles 3 mint lcd screens around BUAHAHAHA, they only thing i had about changing the lcds is the plastic block is so brittle it snaps the screw mounts. i even got a 100km trip innards with no frame thats 100 not 100,000
haha well rather let it sit down the back and cover in dust than coff it up haha, just packing all ya **** together, got the green dash back with the beeper, plates, climatecontrol, rear wiper control, bottle of lube and a carrot, i so need a slate
