I just got my car back from the smash repairs and stuffed around with my roof lining and now it's hanging down about 2 inches from the front (next to the windscreen.

The lining its self is still good but I need to stick the fabric back on.

What's the best adhesive to stick it back on and also what's the cost of a full replacement roof liner.

Thanks guys!

PS don't take your car to 2040 Collision Center if you're in Sydney.

It's probably not worth stuffing around with it yourself. The whole thing needs to come out, the old glue needs to be scrapped off and the liner glued back on and put back in the car. Then all the trims back on. Just take it to auto upholstery place and let them do it. We got our omega done 2 weeks ago and cost us about $230. I have seen the mobile guy doing them cheaper but he was flat out and we couldn't get him to do it when we wanted.

New roof lining needed.
We had REPAIR BULL do ours a year or so ago.
Not worth messing about yourself.

As a temporary fix I put some thumbtacks along the very front edge (near windscreen). Found tacks a similar colour to the lining and you don’t even see them that far forward.

Adhesive won’t work as the foam will all be falling apart behind the lining.

Can you elaborate on this repairer's quality of work and/or service?

Very rushed job, they cut my fog lights wire and tried to say I gave it like that, stuffed up the front, drivers side and rear roof lining and tried to say it was like that.

Also told them I wanted an Omega boot as the SS has the pre-drilled holes for the wing and they didn't listen. On top of that they only put 3 waterproof grommets in the holes and left one exposed.

They didn't want to do a thing until I told them I'm going to get Shannons involved. Shannons was awesome and they even refunded me the cost of the stripes that I didn't want back on.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
Took the chance to redo mine. Used a suede from Warwick Fabrics. Retrimmed the rear shelf, A pillar, Upper B pillar, C pillar too.

Neighbour (who is a panel beater) says it looks “Hollywood”.

Took the chance to heavily insulate the roof too.
