2007 Blown SSV Ute
Hey guys I've got a 2007 VE ss ute with a Harrop supercharger
It's got a 10% overdriven harmonic balancer.
All pulleys are 8pk!
I am looking at changing the 10% over driven
Pulley to a standard size balancer in the 8pk
Would the stock balancer be smaller in diameter
And if so by how much roughly?

Cheers!!!!

Harrop supply powerbond balancers mate. I'd start there. I'd imagine that your current balancer would be pinned which might make changing it a bit harder.

Yes the stock size is a smaller diameter than the 10% over driven. And a 10% under drive is smaller still.
Why do you want to down size? It would be cheaper and easier to put a larger blower pulley on, less prone to belt slippage too.

The reason for downsizing is because
My tuner has told me to drop the boost of the
Blower which was 16.5 psi with a 75mm
I now have a 85mm pulley on.
The belt I have used is a 8pk2465 and its only just
Long enough to make it onto the engine
It's at the point where my tensioner has no
Movement to remove the belt and I can't seem
To find another belt longer than this one!
The only thing I could think of was to change
My harmonic balancer to a smaller one so
My tensioner isn't maxed out

Gates make much longer belts than 2465mm. Be a lot cheaper if you can fit a $100 belt than to change out the balancer.
Again I'd speak to Harrop and go from there as they have a lot of different 8PK belts in stock.

Would it be possible for my no name cheap
Looking belt I have on it now to have shrunk
If its been rubbing on the collar on the
Supercharger snout pulley?
Because I swear I had room up my sleeve
On the auto tensioner and now I've got none
And not even enough movement to rotate
It to get off the belt!

It's a cheap belt could this just be my issue?
It has been rubbing on the side of the snout pulley

Doubtful, only ever seen belts get stretched. Maybe something is out of alignment?
