he said they didnt know and were awaiting to here back from holden technical office but still procedded to tell me something along the lines of the rear mufflers have altered the back pressure and manifold might need to be replaced but wouldnt tell me what was wrong
You've just gotta know your prices and make Holden agree to a cost up front. They've always had the brains to see things my way at Village Holden Petrie.
perry mufflers man, and haha nope its 11 months old and the odo reads 15696 hasnt seen drags or anything lol
Will having the car serviced by a non Holden dealer get me into dramas when I need warranty work done?
No it won't, just make sure any work done on your car meets service log book standards or specs and is done by a qualified professional. Cheers.
The only bad thing about servicing elsewhere is that you wont get any assistance once the warranty runs out. When you service regularly at Holden dealerships and something fails not long after the warranty ends, you can apply for assistance from Holden to pay for it. Sometimes they pay a substantial amount of the bill some time after the warranty runs out if its a known issue. These applications only get approved if you have been a regular customer.
"SOMETIMES" this is what Holden use as a one of their excuses to rip innocent people off and unfortunately they usually get away with it. It's one of two reasons why I don't bother buying brand new cars anymore, the other is the massive losses in depreciation.
Not really an excuse, cant expect them to help you out when you service elsewhere can you? That being said the cost of servicing is a bit of a joke.
i wouldn't purely go to holden all the time because of that... holden service winge about having to replace anything or talk themselves around it when the car is in warranty , let alone when it's out of it...
