Hi All,
I have bought a 2007 VE Factory Dual Fuel V6. It was running OK & changing between fuels OK for about a week, when it now stalls when the light turns orange during fuel change over. The beeper doesnt beep & it does not change back to petrol, it just stalls.
I fiddle around with the sensor/solenoid looking thing in the photo, then it will come good for a while. It is a bit dangerous to drive, as it just stalls while it is changing over, even whilst driving. It does it cold and warm. I'm thinking that it may be this sensor/solenoid, but has anyone else out there had the same issue & what did you do. Or even better, anyone with LPG knowledge could steer me in the right direction.
Another thing, what is this thing called & if there is a part number or retailer who can sell me one of these?

That sensor is for LPG vapour pressure & temperature (dual sensor)(Pt No. DE802053) when mine failed (lost the pressure signal only) my warning beeper went off on lpg but I could manually switch back to petrol & car ran normally (No stalling) so you have a bit different symptom.
I think I might l might lean towards the LPG/Petrol relay LH front (pass. side)beside windscreen washer fluid filler. It is a special double pole relay (twin 30amp) (Song Chuan USA 896H-2AH-C1-R1) that can only be bought as an Impco spare part that I can find.
Make sure you keep about 1/4 of a tank of petrol at all times to insure good fuel as it always starts on petrol & needs some petrol on standby for wide open throttle (WOT)
Contact Rob Mercer @ Mercer Industries in Cranbourne Melb (he knows these units back to front) or maybe a LPG Impco shop in SA
Hope this helps - Leigh

Thanks for the info on this, its much appreciated. I got another relay from the wreckers this morning to try out, as it got to a stage now that it doesn't change over at all. After changing over the relay, so far so good. I did call Rob Mercer & gotta say he is really helpful & knows these systems well. If all is good I will get a relay from Mercer & live happily ever after!! Thanks again, your a legend.
