It it has to be the HVAC module but something is giving the HVAC Module a false message to this module to do this

I'm still tying to find combination to get out of this and I wont spend $1000 for any air con mod just to change everything and they say WE FIXED It but you have to pay for all the parts even if they are need to be changed.
I will try leaving the air con on my feet before turning off the engine off.

Do you leave the fan on when turning the engine off or do you switch the fan Off first before you turn the engine off.

I leave the fan on, I just make sure that when the car is turned off that the air is pointed at my feet.

    Good man!
Tell me. When the car was playing up before out of 10 how many times did it FAIL to give air on you Face.

Also with the NEW Method where you leave the vent set to Feet Only before turning the engine off after you have been use the face to drive around do you select any fan speed like 10% 40% 50% fan speed or any Fan Speed before you shut the car off.

Have tried the other setting FACE and FEET or you just use FEET Only.
    Thanks

I would guess, that it failed half the time before I changed the vent direction on shutdown. It's a guess though as I didn't really count.

I dont do anything to the fan speed. Leave as is. I just ensure that when the car is turned off the air is pointed at my feet. I didn't try face and feet as my method worked and I didn't want to overcomplicate it.

If I forget to point the air at my feet, I turn back on the accessory mode of the car and then point the air at my feet.

My approach is a workaround. The issue with the HVAC remains but I have other issues to fix first and it's not that annoying.

Yes I started/stopped the car 4 times in one hour all all is good
    I do this:
When I have the air on my face and its time to turn the car off I select FEET ONLY, Press the Air Con to OFF (LED goes OFF) then turn off the Fan fully after this turn the Engine off. I tried this 4 time with 4 success rate. If it works for me I think its all to do with leaving the selector to FEET ONLY Before turning the Engine off and other might not come into it like the air con on and off or the fan on and off.

    UPDATE
I have started and stopped the car now for 9 times and has a 9 success rate. Now if I get to 10 it will be record amount that I have start this car that the Face vents are correctly working.
Let you all know the outcome after I have to go to the Shops.
By the way, Yesterday I forgot to put the Selector to FEET ONLY before I turned the Engine off but when I came back to the VE Anniversity After shopping I notice it was still on the Face so I moved it to FEET ONLY then started the car then I went back to the Face and all was OK.

    Update
Went to the shops started the car 3 time's and three time the air con was Good.
Now this 11 times the VE has selected the Correct Vents, YEAH!!! a Record. This remind me of my Son Statesman with high RPM on idle that was caused by a NEW Ebay TPS Sensor. After a Month of driving the car I declared it was good so after the VE has 20 starts and the air con is good as it select the Correct vents than I would say its Fixed.

I have the identical problem but I can just press the demister for 10 seconds to recalibrate the HVAC on startup. Much easier than having to remember to switch the aircon to feet every time I turn off the car (for me anyway). I got a 2nd hand HVAC controller coming for $70 so will try that but I think the module is probably ok, something is sending the incorrect signal to the controller on startup.

But what happen if you calibrate it 20 time over 3 months and it still forget after 4 to 6 starts.

Yes I always have said this as something is pissing off the HVAC Module. It could be a Spike or something like this.

Good to hear all is working now. It would be great to know what causes this issue if anyone ever finds out, but the workaround of vents on feet will keep me going for a while.

You can add 3 more starts and stop to the 13 so it now 16 start and the air con is good. When I get to 20 I will say the the selection method to leave the vent selector to the Floor before turning the engine off has bypassed this issue.

    Could be.
Drove the VE today ( had to got to Supercheap) and the Vents on the Air Con are 100% perfect. Now it up to 18 perfect starts. Two to go and its good enough to say the Work around on the strange issue of the Vents have a perfect get around of this issue.
Maybe the Mods can make this a sticky for people that has this annoying issue and how to by pass it. I bet a few VE's are effected with this issue and also I bet that some scamming air Con mobs have made plenty of MOLAR because of this.

To change the BCM is a pain in the arse, that means you need new keys for ignition and the door
