VE Alarm System!!!

Hi,

I, have VE SS ( Chevrolet Lumina SS ) and i notice that dose not have alarm system ( when i lock the car and some one inside and tray to open the doors from insaide or open the trank there are nothing happened and also the secuirty symbol in the IPC ( instrument panel cluster ). not flashing ( not just my car ) I asked the dealer about this and told me the all Lumina and Caprice dosn't have alarme system.

... So dose the VE's in AUS. had the same thing?

by the way about the service reminder also i dosen't see it in our VE's.

*Note: there are more deferent between the VE Aus. and the VE in the Middle East for EX. the transmission in all V8 is 4speed auto 4L65E and the V6 4L60E.

i dont think they have an alarm system, just an immobiliser

intesting that the VE dont come standard with a factory alarm, my VY executive has one and i thought they were standard on all commodores from VY onwards.

VE Calais definately has one, it shows what tripped it with messages in the dash and everything.

Definitely have an alarm. The seperate horn for it is up near the firewall on the driver's side.
