2007 VE SV6 3.6 Auto
Hopefully a very simple one and only for interest sake.

My VE SV6 is 2007 model, the only badges on it are SV6 and the Commodore badge.

On some other models I have seen running around, there is a V with a red tail??? running off it. I can't be sure what models e.g. SV6/ SSV/Omega/Calais I have seen this one, but just wondering what it denotes. Were they only put on earlier models?? are the only on the later models, are they only on Omegas or do they denote an option has been added??

Regards

Bob

2008 VE HSV Clubsport R8.
That badge you see means the car is a (V) model eg: SS then you have the SS-V and Calais then you have the Calais-V. the V models are better then the standard models.
That badge is a bold V to deneote the (V) model of car but looking at it closely it actually says VE, the red and silver bit coming of it is an E. ;P

Thanks everyone.....a little bit clearer now.

Not a big deal, but did not know the answer, and I knew you guys would have the answers.

Will have to take a closer look at the V, and see if the red tail is an E ;P

Also just so you know the models compared to previous models.

Calais = Berlina
Calais V = Calais
SS = S pac
SS-V= SS

And not too sure, but i think Omega V is the Safety Version, ie Acclaim.

VE Omega V
I got the Omega V. It just has "Commodore" and "V" on the back, no Omega.

The extras included were Air Con, sports rear spoiler, 17 inch alloys, body coloured handles and mirrors, and the special V series badge.

Calais = Berlina
Calais V = Calais
SS = S pac
SS-V= SS

Wrong... Been over this so many times. I'm surprised people still get it wrong.

VE Omega = VZ Executive
VE Berlina = VZ Acclaim
VE Calais = VZ Calais
VE Calais V = VZ Calais with options that are now standard equipment. Marketed as the new 'flagship' of the Commodore range.
VE SV6 = VZ SV6. The hasn't been an S in the range since VY and it's NEVER been called "S Pac".
VE SS = VY SV8. There was no VZ SV8 and no VZ you can compare directly compare the VE SS to. The VE SS was the re-introduction of the bang for your buck V8 without all the bells and whistles.
VE SSV = VZ SS

Omega V simply adds options to the Omega as standard. It's not a "safety version". Similar to the current VE Lumina.

Don't believe me? Call Holden, ask them :D
