VE Omega
Hi,

I recently bought a second hand 2007 VE Omega, and have had some battery issues. I've bought a new battery for it, but when I went to fit it following an online guide, I realised the old battery didn't have a ventilation tube attached.

I've gotten a replacement one of those too, but I can't figure out where on the inside of the battery compartment the other end of the tube is supposed to be fitted for external ventilation.

Does anyone know where it goes, or if it is safe to just route the tube between the back of the battery and the inside of the guard?

Thanks,
Zylon

no ventilation tube on mine.... battery should be a sealed unit because of its location in the cabin.

Not sure if you got dual mufflers but,looking from under the car, the hole is located where the lhs muffler is, just above it to the left. You should see a rubber, feed it through there.

yes the battery is a semi sealed unit, the top caps dont have vent holes, but in the top is a moulded in vent passage to hook up the gmh vent tube,,, holdens used a white case battery for the usa market ,made in italy charged here in adelaide,, all OE battery are exide,,, battery specs if you can find theese batteries out there they are what we sell to the aftermarket ,but are the same as gmh but with diffrent labels
LN2==55h exide
LN3==66h
LN4==77 h current cruze deisals use a LN4 but diffrent labels again
