- VE Berlina
So I own a 2010 VE Berlina with the 3.0L V6 with the 6 speed auto gearbox. I've known about the issue for a while (as my mother has explained it to me as the car was hers previously), but driving it on a daily basis I've been able to experience the issue first hand. The transmission gets 'stuck' between 2nd and 3rd sometimes, and the car doesn't know whether to leave the car in 2nd with higher revs (2500 - 3000) or shift up to 3rd (1800 - 2000 revs) The car then just shifts back down to 2nd and gives me some power. This is especially evident when accelerating out of round-a-bouts. The overall experience is a relatively powerful forward-backward-then take off forward motion of the car.
According to Holden themselves, there is nothing wrong with the transmission - but this is definitely not normal and shouldn't be happening. From my research from other car's automatic transmissions, there could be transmission slip which is causing the car to cut power and then 'think' to switch down until the slip is lessened - then it can shift normally again.
Surely someone else has had an issue like this and has some sort of solution or some way to relieve it.
Cheers,
