Guys,

The other month i slept in the back of my ute, the only way to turn off the light was to un-plug the damn thing. This was very annoying when i briefly needed light again.

Anyway, tonight i realised i will be doing this again a couple of times over the next month.

So i thought up the genious idea of a switch! ;)

Has anyone fitted a switch to theirs?
I imagine it would be quite easy as my wires aren't covered or anything going to my hard lid.

Thanks.

i slept with my lid up and gate up also, a little more privacy. plus it was good for fresh air

i'd just cut the wires and put the switch in. there is a good foot of wiring out in the open.

i have a feeling one of them goes to the central locking for the lid though

where do those wires run to?

im wiring up my hardlid at the moment and was wondering how to wire it up
the hardlid is a 2nd hand genuine lid and has the plug already on it but cant find where it can be plugged.
i was thinking of cutting and soldering up the wires going to fuel lid for central locking but then interior light wont work??

You could put in a timed relay so it is only on for a set amount of time after you open it, like the VE boot.
