Hey guys (and gals) Just wondering if anyone has a rubber boot liner/mat for inside the boot of their VE commodore? Sedan not wagon. Trying to find one online and its becoming a difficult task. Basically if you dont know what im talking about I have heard you can get a thick rubber mat with a lip that has been moulded to perfectly fit your boot space. Any idea of prices? Oh and also a 'boot protector' or whatever they are called (cloth that you fix in to flip over your back bumper when you open the boot to protect your paintwork). I am a real estate agent and need something durable in the boot so I dont f*ck up my pristine carpet with my open signs. Cheers. VY example: Boot lid/protector:
I bought both from a Holden dealer. I called ahead and they ordered them in for the next day. The Holden website says they should cost this much: Boot lip protector: $70 Cargo liner: $210 I don't remember what I paid but I do remember that I was pleasantly surprised when they were a bunch cheaper than the above price. The cargo liner is plastic rather than rubber but effective none the less. The boot lip protector anchors to the carpet with velcro and I never use it 'cos the cargo liner sits on top of it (in fact I'd forgotten I had it till now).
Alternativley ... ebay. I know there is an ebay store with a wagon one on there at the moment, and looking at all the ones they have listed I am sure if you asked them they could do one for the sedan also. Here is the link to the wagon's one... Holden VE Commodore Wagon Cargo Liner Boot Mat - eBay Floor Mats, Carpets, Interior, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. Genuine or Ebay! I considered buying the Ebay one, but bought the genuine item from Holden at a significant discount. I don't have the fold out protector, but the boot liner is a Godsend with a tribe of sportsmen in the family. Well worth the cost IMHO.
ditto! when I bought the VE, I was like "nah... wont buy from dealer, too expensive. I'll just grab one on Ebay". But then when I did the homework, the dealer one was almost the same price. Grab a Holden one mate... or at the very least compare their prices with those on Ebay. Once you factor in postage (and risk because there's always a risk in buying something unseen), the genuine product is a contender. Plus with the Holden one you know it'll fit perfect and not crack or tear too easy (some cheapy from online may not be as durable.... and without seeing it first, how do you really know).
I too have been looking for a Boot Liner for my VE in the past few weeks. I emailed that seller on ebay a week or two ago asking them if they had the sedan model but I have had no reply. Obviously they don't want my business. In searching I came across this FS: PERTH - VE Boot Liner [Archive] - Australian LS1 and Holden Forums but it has been sold Does anyone have the holden part number for the liner??
That is definately what I am talking about. Looks great, footy boots and real estate signs will be no longer upsetting my boot carpet.
Got a reply back from booter today from my email about a month ago. Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately we do not have a cargo liner available for the VE Commodore sedan at this stage, however we are hopeful that our manufacturer will develop one in the near future. However, given production time lines, I would not expect to see stock until mid-2010. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Kind regards, Bryce Gallagher Looks like I will have to wait a while for aftermarket one or see if holden dealer can get me one!!!
Not meaning to revive an old thread but does anybody have the part number for this? I'm in the states and am looking at trying to find one of these but seem to be coming up short for a part number.. :computer:
Just reviving an old thread, just got a Holden one for our SV6 ,love it. Well made and fits perfect, (something to be said about buying genuine). Part Number is 92294993 in anyone interested.
I live in the USA and have a VE Commodore (OK, rego says it's a G8). I am curious as to whether the boot floor of the VE and VF are the same. Apparently, Chevrolet has just started selling a genuine Holden boot liner for the SS, which is a VF Commodore (maybe SSV Redline?) with really ugly (IMO) front seats.
