My 07 VE SS-V ute has an issue with the brake light and cruise control. The break light comes on without pushing the break pedal. This effects the cruise control. The problem is intermittent. If i pull the pedal towards me with the rear of my foot the break light goes off. But often, whilst driving normally i notice the brake light is on. Similarly, when the car is at idle the break light comes on.

I've had a look through other blogs and haven't seen any mentioning a similar problem.

It seems the break pedal is too sensitive, I'm wondering if this can be adjusted

I think I read the other day on here that the VE has a brake light sensitivity thing somewhere that can be adjusted.

on the brake pedal bracket/mount, (holds clutch if manual also) the brake switch is mounted, you may need to adjust it, on some vehicles they have a rubber/plastic button over the pin and this has fallen off/broken, or your brake light swith is stuffed, the cruise is linked (via bcu/electronics) to disengage the cruise when the brake pedal is pushed (even lightly) this will also happen if the clutch is pushed or gently touched like the brake pedal, see how you go
