VE Brake pad replacement - parking brake on/off?

Really dumb question...

When doing pads is park brake off? I read that park bake will clamp the rear wheels so should be off but looking at the service manual I see no reference that it should be off.

I will be doing all pads and bleed.

doing fronts leave it on, doing rear leave it off

It just depends if you are doing the job on a flat surface. The pads can be done with hand brake on if needed.
