Hi, I’ve got a 2008 VE v6 omega sportswagon.

when I apply the breakers there is a small variation in the breaking force as the car comes to a stop. I replaced the disks and pads but it was back in a few days. There is no pulsing in the break pedal, and no shudder in the steering, you just feel it.

Towing trailers down steep hills I do get some shudder in the steering but I think that is a different problem.

Any suggestions on what I should do next?

cheers,

Have your calipers been serviced? Especially the slide pins. They should be smooth and without any abrasion or bumps.

Take them out check them. If they're bad replace them and regrease them before installing.
If they're ok, still clean them up and regrease them.

If they're good then might be your caliper pistons.

Thanks @syked

The slide pins were greased 18months-2years ago. I’ll have a look at them and regrease.

cheers,
