Hi guys I’m kinda new to the commodore seen I just bought a supposed ve Calais v redline and was wondering how do I tell if’s it genuinely a redline?

Check to see if it has brembo's at the front

call up holden service and give them the Vin Number.. they will be able to tell you..

You could also decode the VIN to find out

Just curious what else did the ve redlines get apart from the brembo brakes?

I think the whole redline and Brembos came in on series 2.
Ours is a Calais V S1 and just has a red V. I’ve never seen a series 1 redline.

I think the first Redlines were in MY11.

You could also decode the VIN to find out

As above…

VIN is definitely the way to go as many cars have Brembos retro fitted, so the presence of Brembos isn’t conclusive that it’s a factory Redline.
