VE Sedan Country Pack
Guys, I have a 60th Anniversary VE Sedan standard 3.6-litre V6.

She's nearly 5 years old now, so I was wondering if I should replace the car battery?

I haven't had any problems with the car electrically, but just thinking of replacing the battery bfefore something goes wrong.

Is five years time to replace or not?

Thanks

H

Replace it when the car doesn't start.

My HSV is now 4yrs old and I just replaced the battery with an Optima D34 yellow top.
The car started fine but would drop cruise control on the freeway when the window was put up sometimes. I didnt want to come out from work one day and it was flat so I elected to change it.

I do a bit of hunting and fishing and didn't want to get stuck out bush.

Looks like I'll replace the bat then if you only got 4 years.

3-4 Years is the norm for batteries.
Also look for warranties.

I use a AC Delco brand. 530CCA

5 years is a good run. If you are concerned just replace it. Then you will have peace of mind

Just replaced mine at nearly four years old. Better to be safe than sorry I felt before it gives up the ghost one morning.

I would replace it if you don't have road side assist and go to off the track places and don't want to be stranded. 5 years is a very good run from a battery IMO.

Um yeh, if you can afford it, get roadside assist as well.

Saved my ass a few times.
