After the inspiration of someone else replacing their engine mounts,
I also replaced both of mine yesterday,
As I had a slight vibration when the AFM dropped to 4 cyl mode,
knowing that it was engine mount related, being its not the first time I have had to replace them.
Now it drives as smooth as sink again when it drops into 4cyl mode. ;)

Need to swap rear pads tomorrow so might have a go again...

You need a swivel Head Ratchet,
The Swivel head ratchet will be a very universal tool in your tool box,
I know, because it is my first go to ratchet for hard to get to places. ;)

Lowering the subframe or removing the catalytic converter may help with access.

Otherwise definitely need a ratchet with a swivel head and standard length socket should suffice for the top nut.

It's not the angle you expect so locating it needs to be done by touch and the top of the socket needs to be slightly angled towards the engine

The top mount nuts are also very tight. Can be a real mission to undo.

I got the top nut off with a bit of help from an iron bar but yeah socket wrench don't exactly fit in easy. Gonna need to get to the top nut of other mount from engine bay an need some long extension bars...

Still waiting to do drivers side but the clonk went after replacing the passengers side so altho I know I need to do asap, I keep stalling...
