Thats what a guy at a tyre place told me, I also heard it somewhere else, I think this guy selling his VE SS rims on ebay (the pic of the car was actually somewhere on this forum).

The stud pattern is the same but apparently the centres of the wheels need machining so they will fit. I don't know exactly what's involved but i've been assured they will fit with a little work.

ve studs are 2mm thicker then vz, you would need some type of sleeve to fill in the gap over your studs..

i've been looking at ve 16 x 7 chaser rims for a pre ve car and i have found that the hole in the centre of the wheel on the ve is 66-67mm whereas the vz and earlier are 70mm hole, with the chaser rim really it can be done but its not easy/worth the effort, but for a mag it is ....

the studs don't need sleeves as the wheel nuts still locate ok in the holes, but the centre hole needs to be snug as it is the part of the wheel that centres on the hub and keeps everything in place.
