Just wondering. .. I hear a clunk n feel it a tiny bit in the steering of my calais v when I go over a bump or turn off a driveway etc. Sometimes also when braking then taking off again. I can only feel it on the right side of the car. Any idea what it could be? Also sometimes when I go over a bump in the road not sure but I can hear my horn like its just been touched its a faint horn sound. Weird? Yes.

Need help!!

There's a Pedder's suspension in Ringwood if that's near you, they do a check and report on all suspension/braking components as well as an under car inspection for $28.

Then present you with a ridiculous list of problems most of which are untrue, and the price to repair will be in the $1000's. The Salesperson will then tell you the car is dangerous to drive and he is not giving you the keys back as the repairs need to be done before the car is roadworthy again.

Wouldn't let a peddars outfit near a lawnmower.

That's odd because when I took my car there they gave me a very realistic report back which didn't include any false problems and the mechanics were actually very helpful and gave me tips on repairing the few issues myself.

It's your car, you own it, if you don't want to them to do any work on it then they won't, just because you had a bad run with a single Pedders shop, it doesn't necessarily mean they're all like that.

Not me, this is based on hearing stories from friends and colleagues, plus other forums not necessarily car related. You only have to google "are pedders good" and start reading how bad they are. Just seems most of the time when the name Pedders is raised it's usually negative stories, including many where they threaten to keep your car using intimidating tactics.

I agree they might not all be bad, but it seems quite a few are.

I know what you're talking about, prior to visiting them all I heard were horror stories regarding their pricing and service, with that being said I didn't really get much done at all (just a $14 28-point safety check) but found their service pretty good none-the-less.
