HI, I know this may sound like a real left of field question but I have a mate that is offering me a VF cluster. I think the VF cluster look really cool. Has anyone tried the VF cluster into a VE by chance or is this conversion do-able. Cheers:blah blah:
Im not sure if anybody has done it or not but anything is possible. All depends on how much you want to spend. I doubt very much it would bolt stright up, get programed and just work. There would more then likey be different plugs for wiring, different bolt holes etc... Just curious, why does "your mate" have a vf cluster?
Isn't the VF on a totally different electronic setup? I think this might be too much, but if anyone knows, it will be doubledip.
Does your mate have more than 1 ? I'm almost 100% certain that it won't physically fit in the VE dash, or work properly with the VE's systems, but I'd love one to play around with on the bench...
About the only thing interchangeable with the VF and VE clusters are the needles. Morris70 is right, the cluster wont physically fit, the wiring connector is completely different, and the VF uses a different Canbus for the interior stuff compared to the VE.
