VE Commodore SS-V 0-100km 1/4 times

    Didn't end up racing but have tested out the new Hoosier Drag Radials, 245/45 17 and they are nothing less than amazing, no traction control, full throttle and I got zero wheelspin consistently, I have never experienced this before so amazed by the results with the Hoosiers, improved 0-100kph by almost one second, pretty excited about how this will affect my previous personal best of 12.503@116.53mph given I done this with a lot of wheelspin! here's a video of 0-100kph...     Thanks HoldenMan7, unfortunately none of the drag strips in New Zealand, at least the North Island where I live, have any racing on in Winter and the next one I'm aware of is Fathers Day drags in September. BUGGER as I am really keen to see how it performs now!

    I got a ve ssv ran it in Adelaide on weekend. Exhaust and cai maff tune. Ran a 13:00 @ 109mph. 0 to 100 5.58. 266rwkw Manuel

    1=Cold Air Intake

    2=Tune

    3=Modified/Aftermarket Throttlebody

    4=Ported Intake

    5=Headers

    6=Cam

    7=Modified/Aftermarket Heads

    8= Torque Converter

    9=Drag Radials/Slicks

    10=Front Runners

    11=Rear Gear Change

    Not stripped, but lightened a bit... weighs ~1750kg with driver.

    Change out 9 & 10, put seats back and rear exhaust section and its his daily.

    130mph - must have some serious power, even if he has stripped 200lbs out of it.
    Launches hard that for sure!

    I realise it is generally not fair to compare a modified VE sedan to a stock production car, but without using forced induction, using bolt-ons, cam and a bit of porting, you can make a streetable Commodore with AFM go faster than one of these in a drag.
    For between $5k-$7k.

    700hp and under 1600kg's in the lambo.
    You're not going to get any where near that for 5-6k in a commo.
    Plus non of these 10sec ves are technically streetable.

    Its pretty easy to get to high 11's with 320rwkw 4.11 and drag radials but thats costing more then 5/6k.

    I was assuming heads and manifold can be done locally, so say $8.5k plus drag pack but let's not split hairs when comparing a Commodore to a $845k Lamborghini, lets just round it off to $10k.
    The amazing point is that this car is a VE with stock bottom end plus $10k of bits swapped, and superfluous weight removed.
