VE Calais V 6 litre
:)

Not that I am any drags expert, but I ran my VE Calais-V to a 12.789 sec 400 metres @ 182.60 Kph running in 20" wheels and street tyres on 25th April 2008.

For mine the best result with the A6 was just leave it in drive and surprisingly "ESP on". If you do leave esp on, don't crank the stall revs over 1,000 (or esp will kill the engine timing and power). Mine has the rev limiter set at 7,200 and shifts in auto at between 6,800 and 7,000 depending on the gear its in at the time.

I agree with what someone said earlier, the weight is the real killer with these cars... I just can't get anywhere near a respectable 60 foot time no matter what I do, hence the car has to make up for lost time by pulling reasonably good mid to ET speed. Its best ET speed to date was 114mph, but this wasn't my best overall time.

ozi, At least tune and exhaust to make that time in a VE, possibly tune ONLY but most likely not

Ve ss 1/4 mile

I HAVE RUN A 13.34 et at 108mph over the quarter in Sydney with exhaust and CAI, NO Tune.
I hope to run a 12 sec time in Willowbank next chance I get, with decent traction off the line I believe its quite possible especially at 108 + mph which the car has already shown that it can do.........

VE SV6 ute
Re CAI - get onto ebay ... I bought a ripper for under $300 from "the orgional parts group" ... now selling for around $240. I then made an under body scoop and cut three large holes in the plastic under the body behind the driving lights to force cold air into the pod filter.
.

Mate, those CAI setups on ebay are cheap chinese ****, I have the V6 version and its a POS

Great info M8! By chance do you know how much a SSV 6.0l auto weighs?
