Hi gents ,
I have a VE commodore 6.0 SS (automatic trans ) , AKA Lumina SS in the gulf ...
For now i don't have a check engine warning .....but i was have a troubles in the gear shift .
when i accelerate in a slow pace all the gears seem to shift quite well....its only when I press on the gas , there is a delayed shift from 2-3 or 3-4 with strong jerk ....
so reading through forms and online search ....am still confused why is this happening ?
is it the gear itself ? or is there problems with the solenoids?

When i scanned the car to check codes the following codes came up -
P0771
P0247
P0772
P0047
P0243

Advise and help needed......

Firstly they are all powertain and correlate to the issue.
Secondly these are logical errors estimating the fault not physical sensors.
I point that out because the fix may be quite simple, what's the state of fluid / transmission filter servicing?
Have you performed a self-clean and re-learn?
What version OS in the TCM?

Well i had a transmission oil + filter change done around a month when first noticed this problem. Currently i don't have any check engine lights on my dash, the guys at the shop used his scan tool to check codes on my transmission and the following two 2 codes showed up -
1. P0989 - Transmission fluid pressure switch E circuit low voltage
2. P0872 - Transmission fluid pressure switch C circuit low voltage

now if these codes relate to solenoids ...can anyone give me the part numbers for the replacement parts.
And show where they are located in the gear. ( a Picture of the parts / location would be appreciated)

Monstar - Thanks for the feedback...
how shall I find out the OS on my Transmission control Module?

we don't have any commodore dealers here in the gulf. But if there is any e-mail address that you can provide - will be appreciated.

Hi Pete, I’ve had the same codes coming up on my VE SS ute for sometime now and nobody seems to know why. The mechanic said it could be the loom or trans and recommended me to an auto elec. He said no your trans is stuffed. So went to trans specialist and he said no it’s something electrical because it’s not getting worse. Very occasionally while turning up a hill it seems to have a momentary loss of power or sometimes more of a slight free rev. Did you end up finding out why yours was throwing those codes? I’ve recently had an trans service as a throw at the stumps but it hasn’t fixed the issue. Any info would be appreciated I’m at a loss of what to do next and yours is the only post I’ve come across of someone experiencing the same codes. TIA mate
