Ve commodore starter motor?

Hi all sister has a ve V6 commodore 2008 Jan build.


Anyway we are pretty sure starter motor is bad in it as when went to start all's herd was the starter relay go "clunk" once. And tried again and same. But after maybe 5 tries it started and kept starting till maybe an hour later when it cool down it didn't do anything anyway I have had bad starters in past and seems like the same issue. She did replace battery thinking it may have been that bit wasn't so battery is a brand new 750cca so plenty charge


Question how hard is it on these cars to replace? Do I need to take car off? As never done one on a alloytec before

Shouldn't be a big deal doing it from underneath. Disconnect battery first.

Just make sure you get the right 1 as there is 3 different types to suit V6
