ve omega commodore 2006
image.jpgimage.jpg

Hi all ; new here please be nice.

2006 ve commodore omega - police pack (ex undercover car - what ever that means)

Noticed this pipe looks burst - little bit of crap on the trans/lock next to it but no where else. Mechanic said it was nothing?!?

Car works fine , but im not convinced its nothing.

Any ideas?

If was nothing you would not have the obvious build up of sediment on the hose clamp.

The flexible hose is faulty going by those photos and should be replaced before you have a bigger problem. At least if it were my car this is what I would be doing.

Yes the car works fine - until the hose bursts and then the car will be totally undriveable until it is rectified.

Yeah what RiCeY said, FFS, some mechanics really need to retire early with a diagnosis like that. I think he is hoping to see you back in with your wallet opened up like a whore.

First off all, #### that mechanic off. He doesn't know ####. If that burst while driving, it's going to cost you a lot more $$$.

Second of all, replace that hose now. When you drive the car, that hose is getting weaker and weaker, meaning it will burst easier, costing you more $$$. Just replace it now. Its leaking coolant.

Hi,

That is not a big problem until it cracks so i have to go with change them.
I changed them about 2 week back and it costs around 450$ if you go to a Holden Service like I did, but i changed all of them, I mean about 10 hoses in total.

Get a quote and don`t try to do it yourself because it`s a pain...
