Was thinking that but had no proof. Can you clear coat the engine cover to help seal the vinyl and put some vents in the bonnet for a little increased air flow.

I think the guy has done an excellent job but how does he stop th ecarbon fibre vinyl from peeling. 3M says do not use their vinyl on engine parts yet they say it will be good for up to three years on bonnets.

If your still talking about the mods i did to my engine covers??? there are no decals at all. The black centres on the middle sections are mesh, i cut holes and put black mesh in them. They are also clear coated and so far no issues. If your not talking about mine ive just wasted all of our times!!!
