ve engine removal/upgrade

    Hi, just wanting to find out some info about upgrading my stock VE calais alloytec motor and putting in an ls3 motor. could someone provide me with some steps on how to get the old v6 out and how to fit the new ls3 motor? Thanks.

    It's a major job just swapping out an instrument cluster, or upgrading the head unit on these things, let alone an engine.

    Best talk to a reputable mechanic because I guarantee there is not going to be any sort of guide (apart from remove old engine, fit new engine, and tech2 every major device on the car and hope it all plays nice.

    Meh you can pick up V8 calais / Ss for 20k these days. By the time you buy everthing pay people and what not surly that would hit close to 20k unless you do everybut your self.

    Just super/turbo that sucker. Or throw in some NOS. Way cheaper in the scheme of things.
