VE Glovebox

    The VE glovebox is capable of carrying a shelf. This is the size and shape I cut and installed, sitting on the internal ledges, so I can put a couple of my bits in as well as my partner's ! Others have probably done similar but I can't find pics or records. Just thought I'd share.

    Mine has the shelf as well and is not an ex Police car.

    I would assume they all came out with it as factory.

    The couple of VE SeriesI I had def had a shelf.. but VE II never did, so I got a piece of polycarb, cut it to shape and race taped it (so it would not rattle) into the glovebox on my SII SSv.... perfect :beer chug:

    thats curious .... as neither of my SII SSv wagons had a shelf (hence my build of one )

    So Generous Motors struck again. Some got, some didn't. I checked with two friends (both S II) and neither had one. I wonder what the dealers would have done if those of us who got no shelf went back and demanded one?

    Probably saved them $5 per car lol

    Watched a video today of VF2 guy was saying they removed the rear cup holders from the bottom of the seats, and put them on the centre fold out.

    I've got a VE2 SV6 sedan 03/11 plated, has a shelf, but its part of the whole compartment, not removable moulded together from when made.
