VE HOLDEN CALAIS
so im wondering if someone can please help
I have a ve Calais that has been running perfect its a really good car

but I have a concern as this has just happened.
I recently got my car regased for the aircon
the same day I got it done it started running hot
I decided to turn the aircon off for a few days and re tried it again it then started running hot only when the aircon was turned off it was okay when it was turned on then it ran hot .
then I took it back to the people that did the regas of the aircon which was Autobarn, they did a pressure test which they said it failed.
they seem to think its a cracked head or head gasket
mind you it was running fine before the car got regased.

wondering if anyone has had anything similar happen and what they did to fix it ,or the problem was ? haven't had any heating problems prior

Does it run hot when the air con is on or off?
A cracked head would most likely leave your engine with a misfire. Is the coolant level full? Or does it have oil or residue in it?

Gassing the aircon can’t hurt the motor.
Things happen unfortunately.
Suggest you should not have driven it when it was overheating as you may have cooked the motor.
Get it to a decent local mechanic for evaluation.
