in sydneys drive they said 4.96 for the manual and 5.10 for the auto. which both are bloody quick. slowly working there way into supercar times

I still have to see a VE in the flesh but from photos only the HSV shown in this article looks shocking (Just my opinion).
Great to see HSV have produced the sort of performance you would expect of a large V8.
