ve hsv sparks plugs

hi all ve cluby due for 90k service and they want 240 for spark plugs and they tell me they are a special platium plug so no way around it is this right? as ngk do platium plugs
cheers for any help

You can use normal plugs but will need to change them at shorter intervals.

like every 20 40k as it would probably work out the same price. and would there be any difference in proformance all do any damage?

$30.00 per platinum plug is about the going rate unfortunately. As has been said you can use ordinary plugs but by the time you change them more often it works out about the same in the long run.

Probably change twice as often as platinums.

No wont do any damage, as for performance normal plugs can run with a smaller gap than platinums and still provide the same spark strength.
