Read the Wheels Magazine article on the VE HSV and I JUST WANT ONE.
But apparently a fourtune was spent (millions) relocating the taillights on the HSV model. I reckon that money was wasted as the standard lights on the SSV Commodores actually look betteR. What do to all think.

Nah I applaud HSV for now making sheetmetal changes. With guards and tail lights now different, it sets HSV further apart, and I quite like the lights!

Is it sheet metal or just plastic? Plastic by the looks of it. Would have been nice if it were sheet metal. i.e no messy gaps. Love it or hate it - you've gotta give them credit for making the rear look totally different though! The concept of the look is probably better than the standard VE - although I do like the SSV lights.

Its metal...not plastic. The panels are not made out of plastic... :p

You obviously have not seen one in person yet.

judging by the gap in the panel work its just a infill panel. which means if you have an omega you just need the hsv rear bumper, tail lights and the infill panel. although thats just goin of pictures. the rear quarters and the boot lid still look the same as the ss.

Nope I haven't seen one in person yet. I'm surprised it's metal. I'm still not convinced though.

People will still copy the HSV rear end - it's not hard.

1. Take off the bumper and tail lights from your VE Commodore *******.
2. Put on the HSV bumper, tail lights and fill in panels.

Voila!
