I was just wondering i have a VE Omega 2006 V Series, once i hit under 100kms Distance to Empty all it says is Low Range
Do all VE's do this? or can i enable something so it counts right down to show me Distance to Empty?

Go into engineering mode by holding down the scroll button on your steering wheel before system check comes up. You are able to see how much fuel is remaining in the tank, in my opinion this is more helpful then the range reading.

Before you start the car you have to hold the select scroll bar on the steering wheel down, hold before the check engine screen comes up and hold it down til it goes away. You should be in engineering mode by then.

Yeah its not helpful if you're driving it has to be before it. I found its handing just to check every now and then. If you're really worried it helps just to keep it on as theres a speed option aswell.

The fuel level in Engineering Mode will initially work, but is somewhat erratic when driving.

Once the Very Low Fuel light cames on, even Engineering Mode won't tell you how much fuel is left.

I've been able to have it still telling me at 3.0L left, that's really as low as you want to go any lower and your taking a risk there.

    Hi,

You can't change the fuel light, you can just see the current fuel level in litres until the very low fuel light comes on.

Another option is to add fuel when the warning comes on :D

Fekason is right you can only see the current fuel level and other information like oil like and trans sump temp.

I think he wants to change the normal range screen, so instead of saying "Low Range" once its under 100kms of 'range' left, to continue to count down presumably to zero. AFAIK there is no way of doing this, unless as suggested you use engineering mode and watch the remaining fuel L's count down, which needs to be switched on during startup and stay on while driving, pressing the trip button once the car has started will send you back to the normal trip computer display and you can't get engineering mode until you switch off and activate it at startup again.

    HTH.
