Ve lsd 3.27 oil type? & amount needed?

Hi can any body tell me what Oil to run in Ve stock 3.27 LSD diff and also how much to put in?

what brand of oils are you running and have u added some other diff solution too? which brands

Castrol fully synthetic. 2L. Gears kill oil. Get synthetic.

Car level. Drain it. Pump it in till it runs out the top. I do mine every 40K

The SAF doesnt require any friction modifiers or additives. Should be 75w85

pretty sure this is what went into mine, has been some threads around about oil for diffs

this is whats in the gearbox, will have to check what went in the diff, I could be wrong with this oil

cheers so any 70W-75W LSD grade oil is fine ill probably get penrite

75w85 and not any oil, must be synth with the additive for the LSD

Saf is the correct castrol oil

Castrol make 2 SAF diff oils and the one you must use is the SAF XA as shown in the photo above. (Do not use the SAF XO which is quite unsuitable for limited slip diffs).

As mentioned you will need to buy 2 one litre containers of the oil for the job and you will have some left over.

I used LSD type 85w -140 flow rate

But I could only get 1.7L in there used the drain top plug pumpin it in
Can any one confirm if it needs 2L or what amount and can u full it a little more through the breather plug at the top

Just make sure the car is level 1.7L sounds about right. But you cant buy 1.7L thats why I said 2L. Did you use the correct additive.
