VE LY7 Oil pump replacement, what seal / gasket ?

Hey everyone,

This question has been searched with no definitive answers, so here goes!

About to do a timing chain and oil pump job on an 09 VE LY7. So I bought the oil pump and there are no seals included, yet clearly a recess for an oring on the back of it.

read the forums and apparently people have bought said oring from different places. Went to Holden direct and they are saying it doesn’t exist! They printed me out a diagram that shows the oil pump going onto the block with nothing inbetween. Neither can they tell me what should be there, RTV or otherwise.

Has anyone actually replaced an oil pump on an LY7 and know what is meant to be between the pump and block?

a part number would be amazing, just some info would be really helpful.

only person i know of on here who has replaced the oil pump when he done the timing chains on his vz v6 was markovr he got them from mace engineering after researching few years ago now he has a detailed thread on here about it

the oil pumps are the same and fit all vz-vf alloytec v6 and i cannot see a gasket thats is included on there web site
