For those interested in the retail price from Holden it is as follows.
Bezel 22.50 each. (X2=45.00)
Lamp 141.25 each. (X2=282.50)
Harness 22.75 each. (X2=45.50)
Bolt/Screw 0.95 each. (X8=7.60)
Nut Plastic 0.95 each. (X8=7.60)
Giving a total of $427.02 (including GST of $38.82)
As I guess most of us can get trade price that makes it about.... Ah! you can do the maths.
And obviously shop it around on ebay etc. you could really nock the price around.
Or leave all your cash in the bank, whatever rocks your boat I guess.
Regards
Keith.

The harness? Is that the wiring loom from foglights to interior? What is it exactly? Got a part number?

my car
Doesn't matter even if they are driving lights because it's illegal to have more then one set of headlights on when facing oncoming traffic.

Perhaps you missed the part about me not giving a ****!

A lazy VE
If they are driving lights as CSP chooses to go with, yes WE ALL know your standing on the subject. IMO they do SFA, made no fn difference when I had the SV6, all they do is light up that little spot in front of the bumper that the headlights can't light up. What real good that does you! pfffttt!

NickVR they are GM # 92172577.
They are about two metres long and both the same P/N.
I am yet to talk to the parts fella and have a look at a picture as to where they run or connect into.
I doubt they are long enough to go into the cabin.
I have just picked them up so have not even looked where they go.
They have a 2 X 300mm long sections that are quite stiff and about a third of the way from each end. In old talk they could have been fuses or circuit breakers...not sure(?).
I have not yet got hold of the lamps but I presume the large black connectors go on them. Two other two pin sockets are one on each end. I guiess they are long enough to get to the headlamps and be clamped the long way round thats about the only way you could lose this length of cable.
I'll see if I can post a couple of photos they will say a thousand words.
And you've just gotta love driving a Holden - the Australian car..........the harnesses are made in West Samoa!
Regards
Keith.

Hopefully the photos are attached.
The first photo is the harness totally displayed.
The second shows one of the two "stiff" sections.
The third shows the end of the cable that has the two connectors, the one with the orange/red bit is on both ends.
Regards
Keith.

Cheers Kieth. Might have to take a trip to Holden spare parts. Photos are great. Hopefully it's all plug and play. If so I'll make a how to for it.

Yeh but don't forget the switch has some role to play in this.
I'll be asking price and availability of that this afternoon.
Let you know.

Keith.

I've had a bit of a look under the bonnet and I would say that only one of the harnesses is required, although I could not find anywhere yet to plug it in, but that's only after a brief look.
The switch looks like about $45.
Probably take the bar off on the weekend and have a squiz around, I presume its not too hard to get off and back on. I've done VY's and before that added the genuine flood lights to the VT. That was not that hard but in that case I did not use the existing wiring just added to high beam as mentioned before.
Regards
Keith.

Yeah already got the switch in there. Will have to get that harness and have a look around in the engine bay. Is there one or two harnesses? Looks like one harness in the pic.
