last week i got 420ks out of a tank of gas and 510 out of petrol all in the burbs avg speed 28

That means 6.8/ltr in petrol , fuel consumption 14.70ltr/100km , its the same with me. good to here that you are getting 420km out of a full tank of gas. Probably i will convert mine to a gas.

At the moment, mine is on 11.2lt/100km and thats mainly peak hour too and from work (7 km each way) but its slowly creeping up... but I do baby it

my 06 manual SV6 does 10.5-11.5 suburban driving. and with out any trouble low 8's to 7's. on the freeway
on a trip to sydney from melb towing a 6x4 with about 300kg in it i got 980K's out of a tank.
05 auto astra runs 9-9.5 around town and 6.5-7 on the freeway.
for the size and comfort of the commy its not bad at all

Interesting thread. I didn't realise how thirsty the V6's were in real life driving situ's. Honestly, I used to get consistantly 520 K's from 63 Ltr's out of my VT Acclaim wagon. That's 12.1 ltr/100K's and this is in city traffic...
Not to rain on your parade, but the SS seems to sit around 13.6 & 14.5 ltrs / 100K's on the same route. 490K's from 63 ltrs. Small price to pay for a smile on ya dial:rofl2:
