Depends on the driving. Used as a shopping trolley, 1 1/2 Km each way, I get about 16.6 L/100K. 75% 'burbs/ 25% Hwy 12.2L/100K.
10%'burbs/90% Hwy I get 9.0L/100K.

I got 9 in freeways and 14.5 on suburbs, and 17 in city or tram road on peak hours

3.0 SIDI gets far better fuel economy than my 3.6 VZ.
Refuelled at Coffs Harbour; "low fuel" started beeping near Goulbourn; made it Canberra; refuelled there: 71.3 L.
I checked the manual: apparently it's a 73 L tank, so I had a bit to spare ... but not much.
Odometer said I'd covered 840 km, so that's 8.5 L per 100 km: of course that was mostly "highway" driving, except for the little bit in Sydney, between the two motorways.
Katherine to Tennant Creek: 675 km in 61 L, which I just calculated at 9.03 - but the air-con was probably working harder on that part of the journey, and I had the cruise control set on 117 (speed limit in NT is 130).
What I like is that the VE can make it from major-centre to major-centre without having to make fuel stops where petrol is ridiculously dear - and I regard that as another type of fuel economy.

i did a similar trip recently.... filled up at Canberra, went to Port Macquaire, drove around a few days, and filled up on the way home at Taree (starting beeping just as I pulled in)..... almost 900km... very impressed.
ok she's not a v8, but the little 3L SIDI is the best car decision I ever made. easily single digit L per 100km.... same fuel economy as mrs old Honda Jazz for godsake!

The only time I've hit single digits is the first day I got the car. Lowest I've gotten doing 117km/h on country roads is 10.1/100. Not really too impressed with the figures.

Btw it's a 2007 omega
