    Hi all,

I wanted to replace the parts circled in the pictures as they are slightly damaged, but wasn't sure if I can get the parts separately, or need a whole new door trim.

The parts of the door in question are the top plastic that sits under the window, and the suede flip out door compartment at the bottom of the doors. If anyone can tell me these parts correct names (or even better, part numbers), and where to buy, it would be a huge help because I haven't had much luck searching the web. Thanks.

Not sure why, but for some reason, people are scared to walk into their local holden parts counter.
I've been quite surprised how cheap parts are when I've been looking to replace bits and pieces.

The lower parts of the door skin (Parts that pop out to allow access) are covered in a fake suede material which you should be able to get recovered fairly cheaply should the replacement cost be high.

I'm actually wanting to replace the low parts of my door skins as well as they are fairly marked up... Would actually love to replace them with the part that you've got in your car as I love how they work.

Very interested to hear how you go with pricing & maybe even some part numbers ;)

as Aussie Willy said holden spare parts, they are not always frightning in price (some things are quite reasonable)

    Yeah thanks fellas.

I did try a few spare parts joints but didn't have any luck. I'll keep trying.

    swingn_wasabi, I'll keep you informed.

Agreed, since I've worked at Holden obviously some things are ridiculous but then again a lot of it is suprising too.

Good luck finding them trims on ebay or something..

"Spare parts joints" or the Spare Parts department at a Holden dealership?

The top section you've circled is part of the trim and not designed tot be replaced separately.

Personally I'd be going wreck hunting.

Yep, even the bottom section can be a real pita to remove and replace....

This is what the back of the door card looks like
    [IMG]

As you can see from above, Holden has used plastic welding to secure the trim bits in place, (which means breaking the welds to break down the door trim bits).

Also, because you have the Calais opening lower door pockets, with the faux suede trim bits, this may be a bit expensive to get from either Holden or Wreckers. :(
(Although I ?? Think ?? you might be able to get these separate from the door trim from Holden.
