Sorry for such a broad question

I have 2008 ve ss ute and just bought a 2012 sr5 dual cab turbo desel as a daily and
I want to make the ute a track car but still legal on the road i come from a motocross racing back ground and have a deep interest in the v8 utes series and, so my question would be what modifications are detramental for a track car but legal for the road also quality brands is also what im after thats why money isnt an issue. Thanks

I'm going to assume your ute is a V8 and it is a manual...
2" primaries 4 into 1 long tube Headers, dual 3" exhaust, big brake package, lower diff gears, OTR intake, CAM shaft, valve springs, over sized push moly push rods, timing chain, H beam con rods, forged pistons, CNC heads, carbon fibre tail shaft, oil cooler, solid engine mounts, engine tune, power steering cooler upgrade, change every bush to nolathane or superpro, decent coil over suspension, RIP shifter, forged rims, semi slick tyres (changed at the track)....

or dig a hole in the back yard and start throwing money into it :)

and since you said u like brutes, I'm again assuming you are circuit racing. Brakes will be the first thing that will cause you grief, the stock ones will start to fade after only three or four hard laps depending on the track (Phillip Island turns 1 and 2 will eat them up sooner than Winton). Power steering fluid will then boil. Stock engine at sustained high revs will significantly lower it's useful life.

A roll cage, 6 point harness, a proper racing seat, ABS disabled (ABS is killer in gravel traps) and air bags disabled would be good but doesn't fit your street legal requirement.

Magnuson 1900 or 2300 blower would be an easier way to get some serious ponies without having an absolute pig to drive on the street.

Not that it really matters though if your car drives like a pig at low speed though if it's a street legal track car?
