Hey lads new here. So i have an issue that im at my wits end with. I was replacing my suspention after it had gone bad. Managed to remove and replace the struts perfectly fine even managed to refit the struts. However i cannot no matter what i do re attach the lower control arm to the brake assy see photos. It feels almost impossible to line up no matter what i do i have jacked it up and down wiggled the **** out of it no joy I'm wondering if disconnecting anything will relive something somewhere to alowme to connect itny advice would be well one send any questions

Probably try disconnecting the trailing arm at the hub.

Done all that recently, trying to remember the order I did it in, I had the trailing arm and toe rods off as well though. Pretty sure I did the LCAs then other 2 last. So yea maybe try the trailing arm so you can move the hub side to side.

Or even tuck the strut out of the way, bolt up the LCA, then bolt the strut to LCA after.

I remember doing this job. It's a real physical challenge ;)
I used a few levers, a block of wood, and I think all 4 arms and legs to align everything, then still needed a second person to slide the bolt through the hole. ENJOY!!

From that photo just looks like you need to jack up the hub then keep jacking up the LCA to match up

Yeah it looks like its almost there but if i lower the jack bastard just pops back to square one out of the slot i wondered if i disconnected a few other connections i might have abit more freedom to move it. I also found if i keep jacking it won't slide across and starts jacking the car off the stand

But if you leave the scissor jack on the control arm, and put the trolley jack under the brake disc/hub, jack the hub up higher, then jack the control arm up to meet it at the right angle? Disconnecting trailing arm definitely help.
