ve red hot paint

hi guys done some research on this on the site already but still not sure.
i have put an order in for the ve ss-v redline ute and have ordered the red hot with red interior. My question is does thr redhot paint from holden get clear coated so it shouldn't fade or is it just a solid paint that may or may not fade over time. Otherwise i might go with a phantom paint and red interior.

All holdens have been clear coated for along time now!

The red is referred to as a "solid" colour because it isn't metallic (contains no metallic flake in the paint). Hence why you don't pay the extra $400-500 for metallic paint for red or white VE's.

The solid colours STILL have a clear coat though...

nice choice mate... i just sold my redhot ss ute and i must say its a classic holden colour... i loved it.... however... make sure you keep your car waxed often as redhot/sting red often tends to fade easy...enjoy..stick with red champ!!

I love the redhot colour. We couldnt decide between the red and the blue.

I can prove it's got clear as i have a stone chip and and the F'N clear is starting to lift!!!!!!!! But love the colour.

thanks for the info but after more interior shots of the red interior realised how much red is in there so i decided to go with phantom with red interior. the redline edition has red seats, red lower dash and round door handles and center console and in the centre behind the seats.... 5 weeks to wait dam it lol...
