2009 VE SV6 Sportwagon
Hi all,

I've just brought a 2009 VE SV6 sportwagon. It has redline badges on it but from the limited Google research I've done it looks like the V8's and Calais are the only ones that came in a redline series.

My question is, is mine genuine or did one of the previous owners put the badges on himself? If it's a fraud I'll take them off, otherwise what's the difference compared to a normal SV6?

Thanks
Dean

It's a fraud. All redlines are v8's. Ve series 2 is 6 litre. Vf series 1 is 6 litre. Vf series 2 is 6.2 lire. The exhaust pipes are off a v8.

Awesome, thanks. They'll be coming off then. My exhaust pipes are off a V8?

Slug powered VZ, Cross 8 VZ, VE Calais & ya mum.
Our series 1, Calais V, LY7, has a Red V in the style of the redline badges.
That Red V badge in that style was the series 1.
You have a series 1 as defined by the front.
The Holden badge on the front has been jimmied off the grill and had the random V badge stuck on.

"
V-Series: introduced in October 2006, the Commodore V featured air conditioning, a sports-oriented body kit including 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and colour-matched wing mirrors and exterior door handles."
(There were more features on Calais V.)

Redline was introduced in the series 2.

"SS V Redline Series 2: A performance version of the SS V offering Brembo brakes, 19-inch Alloy wheels, FE3 Super Sports Performance Suspension and a tyre inflater kit."

Thanks for the info guys. New badges have been ordered so these will be coming off as soon as they arrive. Now time to get my VY Calais ready to sell.

Cheers
