This is 9.5 x 20 with +56. +35 may rub especially with passengers. I would try different rims. Wheels that rub sucks. And if it rubs then you cant lower it as much.

My wagon has kings and the monroe shock package. Sits nice.

The G8 probably cant go any lower as it would rub like a bitch.

2012 VE SV6 ser 2 and 911 Porsche Carrera S 997
Hi people, I am looking at importing some KMC 775 Rockstars from the states. I want 20x8 on the front +42, and 20x10 on the rear but only offset available for the 20x10 is +35. Just wondering if this offset will be ok on the back? Oh and the car is an Ignition orange 2009 SV6, likely to be lowered on either sssl or ssl, can't decide yet but most likely ssl with the 10s on the back.

Also the quote is $1476 AUD including shipping, which I think is pretty good?

Any help much appreciated!

Vil

1. I would really query that quote on the wheel import ex USA. Those KMC wheels in 20 inch typically sell in the US for around the $300 each and door to door shipping air freight (the usual means) ex US west coast to Aust east coast is going to cost around $700 + for 4 wheels.

2. A 10 inch rim with 35 offset with 275-30 -20 tyres is going to hit the guards and the tyres will also hit the bumper bracket. You are definitely going to have to roll the guards and grind down the rear bumper brackets in the wheel well.

3. The picture of the Commodore above with the KMC 775 Rockstar wheels has the large ugly centre caps removed. These wheels look terrible on Commodores with the big ugly stupid looking centre caps on them.

4. There are quite a few decent black wheels available to fit Commodores in 20 INCH from reputable manufacturers. However you will commonly find that many of the wide versions (10 and 9.5 inch) come in offsets of 35 to 40(frequently 35)

Here are a few you might want to look at in 20 INCH and these are all available locally .................pictured on a COMMODORE -

TSW do various black wheels in their range which cover 20 inch Commodore fitments. Most of the wide black wheels for the rear are 35 offset though. ...here ...TSW Alloy Wheels Australia - Vehicle Fitment Guide
Have a look at the TSW Gallery on the Aust site (Holdens) and the US web site (for pontiac G8)

Wow thanks for all that info mate. But I got impatient today and brought the wheels in the link I shared above from Motorsport wheels and tyres in Dandenong, they are on the car now. IMO they look great! Guards are getting rolled on Saturday by Greg at Low Down.

Then to sort the springs and shocks, most likely kings sssl all round and the Monroe gt sport shocks, had them on my xr6 and seemed to ride well.

Did you get achilles tyres. I have them on the rear. They seem OK.

Na mate, just got some El cheapos. They called Carbon Series. Didn't want to get anything too serious until it was lowered and I know they definitely don't scrub
