Well its time for my trusty old 380 000km (untouched) vx acclaim wagon (has been an absolute brilliant car not one bit of trouble just the suspension is starting to creak a bit :surprise:- hope the sv6 is as reliable) to step aside as i have just dropped a deposit on a ve sv6 runout model (my 1st new car) - manual (don't like the auto - as it is very touchy-too willing to kick down with very light throttle pressure) , voodoo blue , factory sunroof , tint , paint protection , floor mats & a full tank of fuel . just out of interest i had a look @ the accessories list - they charge like a wounded bull - $550 for alloy pedals ???? $300 for the flip key (if it was an aston martin or similar maybe - I love my holdens but what the ???? Is there anything that i should do or keep an eye on with this model as i know they had a few "teething" problems (hope they are all sorted now)
I picked up a new flip key for $80, cost $50 to laser cut it and another $50 to have it all programmed so $180 in total. $300.00 is too much in my opinion.
Whatever you do, D O N ' T pay dealer (stealer) delivery fee/charges. It is a blatant rip-off and not enforceable as a 'statuatory charge/fee'. Stand your ground and save yourself a couple of thousand dollars. You won't regret it. Remember, buy with your head NOT your heart. Be prepared to turn and walk out of the showroom if you are not satisfied with the deal. You have the money - they want it. OK
If he has paid a deposit then the amount he is going to pay for the car has probably been agreed in which case the bird has probably flown the coup on that one. Reaper
congrats mate, you'll love it. no teething problems to worry about imo, as you are buying a tried and tested body shape (not a new body shape with gremlins). when I got my car, i got them to throw in 2 flip keys for me after the contracts were signed and just prior to delivery. it all depends on how buddy buddy you are with the salesman.
$550 FOR ALLOY PEDALS??????? The list price is something like $110. Got mine for free! Flip key was only 90 bucks from memory - again... didn't charge me for it. Worth having the alloy pedals in my opinion - if you're a heel/toe driver, you'll wear the brake pedal down in no time if you just have the rubber ones.
Well guys - just picked up the new beastie - sad to see the old girl go but nice to jump into a brand spanking newbie , took it for a bit of a run out behind hinze dam (gold coast hinterland) but started to spit a bit of rain , so back home - anyways so far so good luvin it !!!!

Hi guys at the moment i have a 1995 vr commodore and im on my green P's and im 18, now i know i wont get much trade in on it or even anything at all but owell, i test drove the 2010 manual sv6 ute yesterday at my local sunco holden in maroochydore qld. Now they want around 33,000 for it. its there last one due to the runout. i just want to know if thats good and if i can get out of that stupid dealer delivery when i can drive it out myself. now people an the police think im a hoon becuz of judging commodore drivers but im not a hoon i just love the commodore. and now im even more impressed with the new my10 sv6 ute. but has anyone had any issues with them? thanx
They're advertising demos on telly here for 31,something - reckon if you press them, you'd get close to that. Also, dealer delivery charges are normally the cost to get the car TO the dealer from holden. Most will wave that if it's in stock.
I just picked up a MY10 SS ute (demo) for $33k, That included leather interior and pedders sports ryders. Upgraded from this.....
